John D. Terzakis and his team have designed all projects for Single Site Solutions’ projects. John Terzakis is solely responsible for the company’s image via John Terzakis’ intimate knowledge of real estate and development in the Chicago and Lincoln Park area, which has helped the company become the success it is today.

In 1972, John Terzakis began his career in the family business, Danny Boy Oil Company, which was founded by his father in Chicago. John Terzakis rose from manager of one of the gas stations to owner of the gasoline venture just seven years later.

After performing an assessment of the gasoline venture John Terzakis’ father had founded and expanded, John D. Terzakis crunched the numbers and determined that the company would be of higher value to enter into a proactive real estate development role with the sites the company owned. With this strategic move, John Terzakis effectively parlayed his gasoline distributorship into a real estate development empire, operating more than 200 Danny Boy Oil stations under John Terzakis’ leadership. John D. Terzakis purchased and developed properties ranging from one acre to hundreds of acres.

Also, at Single Site Solutions, John Terzakis has developed more than 1.5 million square feet of retail, mixed-use, and single-site construction space around the Chicago metro area.
